This stunning mare has gorgeous colour and a mane and tail that are the envy of all the other mares. She is a quiet, sensitive mare with beautiful soft brown eyes that take in everything going on around her. Sophie has a thick foundation build with large strong feet, big hip and frame and beautiful head. Her foals are always big and well built and gorgeous to look at. They usually inherit her long, thick "Hollywood Dunit mane and tail". She is the horse most people notice first because of her looks and is one of the first mares we bought for a SHR broodmare, as she has that old style quarter horse look about her. Her colt this year was very fancy with his dam and sire's gorgeous babydoll head. He is leggy like Athena and has a curious mind, athletic movement and seeks out attention from all who visits. Bobby has been sold and is remaining at the ranch for the time being for future training.
Buckskin Quarter Horse Mare • Maromac Prima Athena (Athena)
Tall, well built and minded buckskin mare who is a beautiful mover with a curious mind. Athena came to us from another breeding program a couple years ago as her solid conformation, thoughtful mind, big athletic movement and elegant head was desired to add to our brood mare herd and breeding program. We have two of her daughters, and are very impressed with their trainability, catty athletic movements and work ethic. This year's colt exemplifies exactly what we are looking for in a SHR horse. Leo's solid build, beautiful head and easy going curious nature with help him become a versatile future partner for his new owners. This guy was scooped up quickly and has gone to his new home in the Cariboo.
